No-vig calculator FAQ
What is the vig?
The margin a book builds into its prices, also called juice. It’s why both sides of a market imply more than 100% together.
What is hold?
The share of the money wagered that the book keeps if action is balanced on both sides. Lower hold means a cheaper market.
Which method does this calculator use?
The multiplicative method: each side’s implied probability divided by the total. Other methods, such as additive or power, give slightly different results on lopsided markets.
Does it work for three-way markets?
Not yet. It’s built for two-way markets such as spreads, totals and moneylines with no draw.
