Odds converter FAQ
What do minus and plus odds mean?
Minus odds show what you stake to win $100: at −110 you stake $110 to win $100. Plus odds show what a $100 stake wins: at +150 you win $150.
What is implied probability?
It’s the win chance the odds represent, with the book’s margin included. It’s also the break-even point: at −110 you need to win 52.38% of the time to break even.
Why do both sides of a market add up to more than 100%?
The book builds its margin, the vig, into both prices. The no-vig calculator removes it and shows the fair odds for each side.
Why can’t American odds be between −100 and +100?
−100 and +100 both mean even money, 2.00 in decimal. Every price is either +100 or longer, or −100 or shorter, so values in between don’t exist.
